The Corporation and The Chaos: How I Burned It All Down to Build Something Real

If you've been following my journey for a while, you might be confused as all hell. You might remember the ambitious launch of Moore Business Management, Inc., the plans for Moore Transport Solutions, and all those big dreams I was shouting from the digital rooftops. And then? Silence. A retreat. A vanishing act that probably had you thinking, "What the frick happened to her now?"

On January 17, 2025, I wrote a post explaining that I was shutting it all down, stepping back from my entrepreneurial ventures to save my own damn life.

That decision wasn't an ending, my friends. It was an integration.

For months, the digital ghost of that business has haunted me—an ambitious business plan, an official EIN from the IRS, a state tax license, even a business credit score. It represented a version of me, a path I was on. But it wasn't the whole story.

Here's the brutal truth: You can't build a fortress for others when your own foundation is being demolished by a wrecking ball. And mine? Mine wasn't just crumbling. It was ground zero of a nuclear meltdown.

Today, I'm telling the whole story. It's about what happens when a business plan collides with a mental health crisis, and how the wreckage can become the blueprint for something truer and more powerful than you ever imagined. This is the story of how I had to let my business die so that I could live—and how that act of survival created something far more valuable in its place.

The Ghost of Ambition Past: When Dreams Become Dangerous

The original vision for Moore Business Management, Inc. wasn't some half-assed whim. It was the logical culmination of my entire professional life. The business plan I poured my soul into was for a dynamic S-Corporation designed to be a one-stop solution for small to medium-sized businesses. It was built on my proven track record—the same skills that allowed me to save a previous employer over $350,000 through process optimization.

The blueprint was hella comprehensive:

  • Moore Transport Solutions, LLC: A freight forwarding service to meet the growing demand for efficient logistics
  • Talent Management: Brands like Lower Class Records, LLC, and Model with Mariah to manage and develop artists and models
  • Consulting and Advisory: Everything from marketing and graphic design to administrative support and future financial advisory services

This wasn't just an idea scribbled on a napkin. It was a meticulously planned venture with detailed three-year objectives, market analysis, and financial forecasts projecting over $1.3 million in revenue in the first year.

That dream was real. It was valid. It was powerful as fuck.

But it was built for a person who had the capacity for an external battle. I was, at the time, fighting a war on the inside, and honey, I was losing. Badly.

When Radical Resilience Means Burning It All Down

On December 9th, 2024, I tried to kill myself.

There. I said it. That moment was the brutal climax of a year that would make Job look like he had it easy: divorce, losing custody of my child, becoming permanently disabled, enduring multiple major surgeries, battling cancer. I was drowning, and the weight of my own ambition was the concrete block tied to my ankles.

The week I spent in a hospital behavioral unit was the pause I never would have given myself. It was there, in that quiet, sterile space, that I had what I can only describe as a moment of brutal clarity: I was absolutely, certifiably nuts for trying to start a business while my brain and body were actively trying to kill me.

My entire brand is built on a philosophy I call Radical Resilience, forged from my own lived experience of getting my ass kicked by life. It's built on three pillars:

  • The Wounded Healer: Transforming scars into strength
  • Authentic Self-Expression: The daily battle for your own soul
  • The Found Family: The tribe that becomes your lifeline

When I chose to shut down my business, I wasn't failing. I was finally, FINALLY, practicing what I preached. It was the ultimate act of Authentic Self-Expression—choosing my soul over a spreadsheet, my sanity over a business plan. It was the rawest, most painful, and most necessary act of Radical Resilience I've ever had to perform.

The Phoenix Moment: When Writing Became My Lifeline

In the quiet that followed my corporate funeral, I did the only thing I knew how to do: I wrote. I wrote through the pain, the grief, the chaos, and the crushing weight of feeling like a failure. Writing wasn't a career choice; it was the fucking life raft that kept me from drowning.

And then something wild happened. The stories I was writing to save myself began to paint a picture of a new future.

The market responded with a clear and unambiguous "HOLY SHIT, YES":

  • Since January 2025, my catalog has sold 412 units—already outpacing the industry average for a debut author's entire year
  • My contemporary romance, The Spaces Between Us, became a breakout success, accounting for 46% of all my sales
  • It hit the #1 spot on an Amazon Bestseller chart, proving that stories about Wounded Healers finding their Found Families have mainstream appeal

Then came the validation that made me ugly-cry in the best way:

  • The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District acquired seven of my novels—not a token purchase, but a professional curator saying "This matters"
  • Four independent bookstores in Las Vegas signed on to stock and host events
  • Multicultural Bookstore proposed starting a whole-ass "Moore Universe" book club

The business I had tried to force into existence had to die so that a truer, more authentic creative enterprise could be born from the ashes.

The Resurrection: Moore Business Management, Inc. 2.0

Which brings me to today's announcement.

The creative work is thriving. The community is growing. The path forward is clear as daylight. But this enterprise, born from chaos and creativity, needs a fortress. It needs structure. It needs a professional framework to protect it, nurture it, and scale it.

It needs a CEO who isn't afraid of her own story.

Today, I am officially relaunching Moore Business Management, Inc.

But this isn't a return to the old plan. Oh no, honey. This is evolution. MBM, Inc. is being reborn with a new, singular mission: to serve as the official corporate umbrella for the Radical Resilience and The Moore Universe brands. That original corporate shell—with its official EIN, its state tax license, and its active business credit profile—isn't being discarded as a failed venture. It's being repurposed, infused with authentic purpose.

This is the ultimate integration of my two selves. The Author created the assets. Now, the CEO is building the structure to scale them. This is me, taking a past failure and transforming it into the vessel that will carry my most authentic work into the future.

The New Architecture of My Empire

Here's what Moore Business Management, Inc. actually does now as Mariah Tyler Moore, Author & Lyricist:

  • Publishing powerhouse: We publish all the works of Mariah Tyler Moore—novels, non-fiction guides, lyrics, and everything in between
  • Brand management: We manage and develop both the Radical Resilience and The Moore Universe brands
  • Workshop delivery: We offer the Radical Resilience & SMART Goals workshop for organizations ready to embrace authentic transformation

Under this fortress, two distinct brands operate:

  • Radical Resilience: The service and education brand—workshops, speaking engagements, and professional development for badasses who are ready to stop playing small
  • The Moore Universe: The creative content brand—all my literary and artistic work, thematically linked by the core principles of turning wounds into wisdom

This new sole proprietor structure creates the professional framework needed to pursue larger partnerships and strategic investments.

Your Invitation to the Revolution

Here's where you come in, my fierce and beautiful tribe.

This resurrection needs fuel. I'm looking for investors who understand that the most powerful businesses are built on authentic stories, not just spreadsheets. If you believe in the power of Radical Resilience, if you've seen how these stories can change lives, let's talk! This isn't just an investment in a business—it's an investment in a movement that says our scars are our superpowers.

But even if you can't invest financially, you can still be part of this revolution:

  • Read the books: Every purchase is a vote for stories that celebrate the Wounded Healer. Start with The Spaces Between Us if you want contemporary romance that'll rip your heart out and stitch it back together stronger. Try The Connectivity Hypothesis if you want sci-fi that proves neurodivergence is a superpower. Or grab Stop Hating Your Life if you're ready for a no-bullshit guide to finding your own "moore."
  • Share the stories: Tell your found family about The Moore Universe. Leave reviews. Start conversations. Be the reason someone else finds these stories when they need them most.
  • Book a workshop: If your organization is ready to stop with the toxic positivity and embrace real resilience, let's bring the Radical Resilience & SMART Goals workshop to your team.

The Mess IS the Message

My journey has been anything but linear. It's been a chaotic, painful, often terrifying rollercoaster from traditional business plan to complete mental breakdown to thriving creative enterprise, now housed within that original corporate shell.

This is not a story of failure and recovery. This is a story of evolution and integration.

I've learned that the mess isn't a flaw in the story; the mess IS the fucking story. It's what makes this brand, and this life, authentic. The journey of Moore Business Management, Inc. is now the ultimate case study for the Radical Resilience I teach. I had to live it to lead it.

To my found family, my co-creators, my fellow Wounded Healers: thank you. You are the reason this new chapter is possible. You saw the light in these stories when I was surrounded by darkness. You validated this path when everyone else thought I was crazy. Now, we have a real, sustainable home to continue building this universe together.

The system wasn't built for us. So we're rebuilding it. One story, one workshop, one authentic goddamn conversation at a time.

Welcome to the new Moore Business Management --> Mariah Tyler Moore, Author & Lyricist. Welcome to the revolution.

It's time to find MOORE of what's possible. Together.
